DescriptionWhen Ultramega dropped I have to be honest I was not prepared. I have heard of the greatness of James Harren but hadn’t dived in his work (shame on past-me). The serie blew my mind. I looked forward to each issue and so far it is easily the serie I have reread the most. When Felix dropped the art for issue three I still remember that this piece stuck out to me but the funds were not there. I noticed it got in the collection of Evan and we talked about setting something up when he would part with it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and Evan opened this piece to me - I had the opportunity and we figured it out. This piece stood as the panel each have a unique aspect that I like about James work. If it’s the facial expressions, crooked limbs, handlettering, dark/moody scenes and the sense of worldbuilding… It’s all there! Thanks again Evan! Social/Sharing |

Terrific and memorable page! UM blew my mind as well, and I've since realized that everything Harren touches is gold. Can't wait for new installments of this amazing series!

The resuts show how Harren approaches the storytelling! It has elements of Wally Wood with a modern touch! For this page, the obvious dominating call to "Fight" fills the page and his mind. The smoky backgrounds feel like flames are rising and sintering his resolve to take on the fight.
