11.75x16" artboard has mixed media original art by comic artist J.L. Blume, known for his cover work on Spanish comic books starring The Phantom. Cover is for the Spanish edition of "El Hombre Enmascarado" #24, which was published in Spain by Valenciana as part of their Del Colosos Comic line in 1981. Artboard has image area measuring 10x14.25" showing art for "Catastropic Sentence" cover story, w/The Phantom holding a spear with women fighting in foreground. Signed by Blume on art. Back has the artist's inkstamp. Lt. aging/handling wear. Art remains bright, clean and displays Exc. Cover and contents were exclusive to the Spanish market and saw no US counterpart. Comes w/reading copy of the comic this cover art was created for.
