DescriptionA piece from a show in September that I hadn't seen until yesterday. I had asked Italian artist Vincenzo Cucca for his take on Mary Jane Watson, as I see him as a nice cross-over between both comics worlds. He worked on European pin-up material, like his famous "Hot Charlotte", as well as US comics, like "She-Hulk".The commission has the typical Cucca aspects to it - his typical sexiness, but everything remains classy. Highlights are the lighting coming from MJ's left & how Vincenzo conveyed that extremely well, the piercing look & Romita style, as well as that cute Spidey plushy! This piece was done in watercolor paint & on A4 sized paper. Social/Sharing |
