A great example of a more realistic (yet still lovable) Hobbes alongside Calvin. One of David's toned paper commissions, I really love the care he took in making Hobbes's whiskers stand out.

Hobbes is probably easier for him to draw at this point. Really cool with the white paint highlights! A boy and his pet companion looks so much more interesting now in this portrait.

Peterson does such a great job of working on toned paper. With just black, brown and white pigments he brings life to the cartoon characters. Congrats!

Great to see C&H live on through more artists, an amazingly beautiful piece with great emotion from Calvin and a stoic Hobbes.
