Description

Animation Drawing (InVision Entertainment, 1996). After hearing Ken boast about being the "World's Braves Warrior", Ryu, in all stern honesty, comments, "I'd never have called you that." Presented in this lot is a great hand-painted production cel featuring Ryu, the iconic character from Street Fighter, as seen at about the 4:43 mark of the Episode "The Flame and the Rose." The stoic character measures a figure size of 9.5" x 7.25" on the three-layer production cel, features on the Key Master background from the scene, rendered in gouache on background board measuring 14" x 9.75". The lot includes the matching animation drawing done in graphite with colored pencil shading and details, rendering Ryu without his face and mouth. Additionally, the lot comes with a studio-used photocopy of a layout drawing with pink colored pencil. The cel shows light surface scratches that don't affect the art, paint wear, fading on the linework, and traces of paint from production. The animation drawing has some surface scuffing. The layers of the cel have adhered together. Some edge wear and pinholes on the top corners are seen on the Key Master background. With light handling wear from production. The lot is in Good condition.
