DescriptionI just returned from my trip to Europe, where one of our stops was in Rome and our visit to the Colosseum (see 2nd pic attached).And, waiting in my mail was this wonderful cover. Talk about great timing...as I was still swooning from seeing the majesty of the Colosseum. I just love how Tyler did an homage to Dark Knight Returns #4 (one of my mostest bestest favoritest covers). See 3rd pic attached. Another cool thing is that Tyler drew the "300" logo into the cover art...and, Dark Horse decided to move it up to the top of the published cover (see last pic attached) I will never be able to own the DK #4 cover...but, I really feel this is the next best thing. I mean there IS a nice tie between DKR and 300, right?! Nice variant only natural! Congrats on it, as well as actually visiting the Colosseum!

Aloha, my European road tripping brother! I hope you enjoyed watching the losers of the battles in the Collosseum get eaten by lions! But even that wouldn't never top the excitement of returning home to find this exquisite homage, which is a beautiful piece in its own right. Congratulations, Jordan, it's a beauty!

Just like a colosseum gladiatoral battle, that Miller imagines as the basis for the showdown between the characters. Kirkham even channels the style of both DKR and 300 in this piece.
