People remember this early Image title and bought longboxes of it like every Image title for completists. Marrinan and Gordon turned in some more refined 90's work for this. But you didn't know if they actually read the comic or saw it as an investment back then.

Um... Well, that's pretty insulting. I read it because I wrote it. And I would assume Chris read it, or he probably couldn't have drawn it.
And I was doing WildStar because I loved doing it. It had zip to do with making money. Of the 3 issues I did with Chris, only #1 made a tiny profit. 2 & 3 made little. I paid everyone who worked on it and got nothing for Writing and Inking it.
But, I'm sure glad you thought we were "refined," as opposed to our usual crap.

I'm not talking about you. It was the 90's and people speculated on Image books and bought it just because it was the thing to do.

You can see how I got that impression, right?

Nice page, by the way! Kudos for getting it. I never sold any of mine because WildStar was my baby.

Thank you sir. It was donated to Comics Curing Cancer in 2023 and I picked it up in that charity auction. I came to the realization that I needed to start thinning my collection so I decided to let it pass on to someone who may appreciate it more. I recently sent it to Heritage along with about 50 other pages for upcomming auctions.
