From Baltimore Comicon 2006 in Baltimore, Maryland... pictured from L to R is Ken Branch and Patrick Strange. Ken is another long time vet... inking almost everybody... I bought a bunch of pages off of him for a sweet deal...
Info on Ken Branch: Ken Branch has been known as an artist in the comic book industry for years. In 1997, however, he began painting portraits of sports stars onto sports memorabilia: "Sportraits" as he calls it. Since then, requests for these sportraits have increased at an amazing rate. It all began when Ken turned his interest in sports and his skill as an artist into a full time business. The works represented here show Ken's versitility to work on any medium with the ability to paint stunning likenesses of the many different athletes. Ken has also been working on his "trading card" SPORTRAITS! You've got to check them out for yourself! Ken finished a 56 limited hand painted edition of the "1956 Don Larson/Yogi Berra's perfect World Series game." His work can also be seen in the recent Mario Andretti Catalogue, featuring a baseball with a hand-painted portrait of Mario.
