"Necron is the title character of an Italian humorous-horror adult comics miniseries published between 1981 and 1985.
Publication history
Necron debuted in January 1981, published by editor Edifumetto; the authors, writer Mirka Martini and illustrator Roberto Raviola, signed the comics with the pen names Ilaria Volpe and Magnus.

The comic, a sexy-parody of Frankenstein, features the adventures of the nymphomaniac and necrophiliac mad doctor Frieda Boher and of her slave-lover Necron, a strong, well endowed and cannibal humanoid assembled with fragments of corpses."

Nice vampiress! It has the dark haired Italian look and the thick expressive eyebrows that give her more allure as she uses her charms to seduce us to her side.

yes Marcus it's true, I see it that way too. In any case, dark background and defined Magnus' lines, I think give it even more enhancement and a well balanced black and white art.

Necron is a truly unique series, not only for the featured subjects and themes, but also for the peculiar style adopted by Magnus, which gives a nod to the fetish and sadomasochistic comics à la Gene Bilbrew, but at the same time (and surprisingly, given the nature of the stories) to the French-Belgian "ligne claire". Great close-ups on this beautiful page!

I totally agree Davide, and Magnus in fact produced this series in the 1980s when by then he had achieved an incredible mastery of his well-defined drawing, and light and shadow, I remember for example that another comic book great like Manara often stated that he had serious problems with dark areas, shading, etc. Perhaps, who knows, I would like to imagine that then being a series of lesser circulation, Magnus may have felt freer to express himself and play with his true intimate passions.

Great looking art. I like Magnus but dontnhave the organic love and reverence for it my Italian friends do. It is a great page.
