Description

Back in 2007, I got the idea to do a series of commissions in which artists re-interpreted entire panel pages from Marvel Two in One 76 (the first comic I ever bought as a kid) in their own style, using only a re-created script and reference images to work from. The cover and all the story pages have been done - or, more accurately, re-done - for a while now, but my completist tendencies had me expand the project to include reinterpretations of the ads in the book, too.

With that in mind, here is a reinterpretation of the ad for Hostess Twinkies starring Iron Man ("The Charge of the Rhinos"), originally drawn by John Romita Sr.

This is brilliant, what a cool idea! I would love to see more Hostess ads redrawn by other artists. I bet Fred Hembeck could have fun with this concept...
