Description

A wonderful piece done by Paolo depicting a number of Silver Age Marvel characters, all done in his crisp watercolors. This was used as a print offered by the Folio Society for a hardcover collector's edition of various Marvel Silver Age works.

As per Paolo's blog post about this piece, sounds like it was digital pencils, with inks done by his father.

Looks so lovingly drawn and colored to pay respect to the silver age creators! I can imagine this would have been a style of pin up used by George Tuska with the pure white backgrounds.

Stunning! I have this Folio set and the illustration has been in my mind ever since I saw it. A great Paolo representation. Epic update to close out the year, Pat!

Gorgeous illustration by Paolo Rivera and his father, Joe Rivera, of Marvel's SIlver Age heroes! The Riveras really captured the look and feel of the early Marvel characters here. I especially love their take on the classic Hulk and Spider-Man. The figurework is awesome and the colors really capture the look of the early comic books! Stunning pick-up, congrats!
