Description

Another Commission completed, the brief was to draw a Caribbean school teacher on a bike pulling his students along, no other reference provided.

the client did not give me a lot to go on. I think it was meant to be Jamaica. This influenced the choice of colours, green, gold on the trees and black lines, the colours of the Jamaican Flag. I gave the art to the client and he was very happy with it. He just wanted something to reflect going to school and grabbing on to the back of the bike, and the next student would grab on to the back of his shorts.
It's nearly all done free hand I did draw some circles using the computer to get the wheels round, the rest is all freehand using Brush Pen and 0.1 ink pen for the spokes. The trees are in brush pen water colours and I used makers for clothes and bike. I used a lightbox to do the inking so I get a nice clear image when inked.
