Description14 x 17 BoardI feel like most nice Evangelion illustrations will eventually make their way to my collection and naturally, this collection was the logical landing place for this amazing commission done in 2019 @ NYCC by the late, Kim Jung Gi. I was blown away and jealous when I first saw it and am so happy that it could join the other amazing Neon Genesis Evangelion pieces I've gathered. Kim Jung Gi was one of the most unique, special, and gifted artists there ever was and his ability to put together intricate and energetic illustrations on the fly was incredible. Here we have an Eva unit fighting multiple Angels while destroying the buildings of future Tokyo. Grateful to have it and and grateful that a master illustrator took on one of my favorite commission subjects before his passing. RIP Kim Jung Gi Social/Sharing |

Peak work from a master. Couldn't tell what this was from the thumbnail but there's so much here to look at and marvel over. Congrats!

Let's just say this was always your commission. It just took a slight detour to get where it belonged. Pure KJG.

Wow, lots of energy, bloodlust and violence, something typically reserved for humankind. That Kim Jung Gi captures that humanity in robots is really fabulous! Kudos, Jason!

Gotta love those gritty ink lines mixed with that spraypaint-ery rendering in spots...perfect subject matter for the unique Kim style. RIP, and congrats on the pick up!

So dynamic and full of energy. Could look at that all day. I'm a huge fan of that size too!

Stunning Neon Genesis Evangelion illustration by the late Kim Jung Gi. Kim's work is extraordinary, before he passed, he was one of the great modern artists working in the field. Here, we see an Eva unit battling a host of Angels while trashing the foundations of the new Tokyo. Outstanding work! Congrats on the pick-up!
