I’m generally not a straight recreation kinda guy, but this one seemed meant to be.

I was chatting with Roy Richardson at Heroes. He and June had done a pre commission for me that I was picking up. It was still early and slower, so one of their artist friends from across the isle came over to chat and had this piece with him. My jaw dropped a bit, partly because of the size, but mainly because it’s rare I see somebody do Bill’s color work justice on the rare times it’s attempted. I asked if it was for sale, and the price was too good to pass up, especially compared to what you’d have to pay to pry the original loose from Los Bros.

Definitely check out Alan's site if you get a chance. He’s done a few books, and if I remember right from our conversations, he runs the art department at a college in Kentucky. He had several pieces at the con done in other artists styles, partly I believe as examples for his students.

Amps up the colors as it should be as when they shot the painting with a camera, it often gets dimmer when published.
