JLA vs Iron Giant, tryout pages 1-2

To solicit work from DC, Sedat produced a sample battle story with the JLA facing a robot who looks a lot like the Iron Giant. On these pages, Jimmy Olsen's penchant for getting a great picture gets him into a great deal of trouble. I particularly like the last panel, with three images of Jimmy finally deciding to flee the oncoming menace, then stopping in his tracks. Is that movie director John Waters in the second panel?
