Description
This is the first post of my pickups from OAX. If you went to OAX, you know how much of a blast it was. If you didn't go, I strongly recommend going next time. One of the best collecting experiences of my life. I had quite a few pickups, met some amazing people, and dined with many long-distance friends. Now back to the artwork...

I picked this piece up due to the high contrast and density of artwork on the page. This page is totally awesome to look at and Tom Raney/Scott Hanna really packed it in. I love the crosshatching of the phalanx cheek as well as the gnarly looking arms in panel 3.

This page is after the High Evolutionary's betrayal. We are now well aware that he is working with the phalanx. The characters in the background are Ultron's memories on a screen, and we are moments away from a big reveal about why we are seeing Ultron's memories. It's all around a fun page and I am totally thrilled to add it to the collection.

I am afraid I don't know all of his work, but one of my favorite Silver Surfer issues were drawn by him as well. Issue 59. I think I am drawn to his stylized artwork.

It's all, it's all, it's all
You're my ink line Hanna would bring
You're the pure artist I share when obtained
'Cause I'm losing my mind
When Ultron’s around
It's all, it's all
It's all because of you

You're my brush line
Oh yeah

Raney I really know by now
OAX that day
You showed me the page
I felt it then you gave me lunch
I can't describe
How much ink feel from you

I said Raney Annihilation by now
Should have been right there
Page after betrays this love
And with Sentry you were there
I'd tell you, yes I'd tell you
Oh yeah

98 Degrees could possibly make me do a complete 180, but with your version, I can't help but listen. Thanks Marcus!

This little piggy went to the market, this little piggy stayed home, this little piggy had falafel (I know my mom was a vegetarian), and this little piggy had none. And Mr. locke this little piggy. Oh sorry for moving that piggy! No seriously... Please don't tackle me! Please!!!!! I cried all the way home.

Dang, I missed you at OAX!  Next year I'll be better at making plans beforehand.  Anyway, this is a fantastic page!  Amazing inking and like you say, Tom Raney and Scott Hanna really packed it all in.  Congrats!

I know! Many faces I would have liked to have met there including yours. Hopefully next year. I only stayed the preview night and Saturday due to wanting to be with my family for their Disney World trip. That and just like one of my friends said, I needed to go to Disney World to save money lol. Only time those words ever came out of my mouth.
