Description
This page is especially meaningful to me, for a few reasons. But, before I explain I why I would like to thank Greg McKee for this page. Now for the reasons, 1st this is the first Turok (VH-1) page I have ever owned. Then this page introduces someone ever special to me, Israel Crockett, the Longhunter. According to him his mother always insinuated he was related to Davy Crockett. Whom was born in Greene County, Tennessee. The same place I was born and raised, so I was always fascinated by Davy. Unfortunately, this Crockett was always presented as the villain, I always hoped they would redeem him. Finally, I remember when I say this page in 1994, I really hoped to someday get this page and lo and behold I did.
I really am happy to post this page today as today March 6, was the final day of the siege of the Alamo and the death of Crockett in 1836.

Shown as a big game hunter here and not even collecting any trophies as he enjoys the act itself.  It is firmly establishing this character as a threat to watch for!  Pretty amazing what they were able to pull off with the young Rag Morales in his first Turok issue.
