Amazing! Classic Valiant history! Huge congrats Carl! 🍻
Thank you! 🫡
Epic pick up! Huge congrats!!
What a Grail! Incredible. Huge congrats!
Amen Brother!! 🎉🎉
What a story! I had a similar experience but it was two kids who was in deep conversation pointing at this cover saying how it was one of the best reads they had in a long time.
I picked it off the shelf and was completely blown away. Not to mention how the trademark BWS pulled off what I think was one of his purest creations to date.
Carl- we have spoken about this before. I too am a huge early valiant fan.. and this one was so off the beaten track it made it amazing! So happy you get to own the cover! Congratulations!
Yes you were one of the first to see it! Glad to have a shared love for such a great title!!
Insert drooling emoji here. WOW! Congrats
How bonkers cool, man! I wasn't a Valiant reader but I remember this image being everywhere. I love how meaningful it is to you...thanks for sharing the backstory!
Pisces Power!!! 💥💥💥
True nostalgia is tough to beat. A&A easily the most fun of those great early Valiant titles. Congrats, Carl!
It's definitely been a lengthy journey for me to finally start pulling the trigger on these nostalgic pieces. Thanks for being a big part of my collecting adventure Felix!
HUGE congrats, my friend! This stuff made such an impact on us in our formative years and to grab such an personally influential piece from the time? Can't be beat. Oh, and it's BWS :) So clearly his work when you see it. I'm not familiar with the book or story, but doesn't mean I can't appreciate some great lookin' OA, and obviously in the right home.
Great back story Carl. It's a fantastic and memorable work!!
Thanks and it's been great getting to know you Rob!
Wow congrats- love it
#0 issue is the first issue of the series and this BWS image is ingrained in price guides and in the minds of those with long boxes of them! It's a good thing that it's a great image by BWS. Exciting times for comics and Valiant's success showed the strength of the market.
Big congrats, bud! Instantly recognizable cover image.
I'm just gonna imagine that Carl battled Dinosaurs in the Lost Land with his unlikely companions. Don't try to dissuade me.

Classic! Congrats!
Superb and memorable BWS cover
Phenomenal cover Carl, very memorable!
Holy 🐄! That's a peach of original art. Congratulations
My favorite of the original Valiant titles -- congratulations on this great cover pickup!
You got great taste!!!
Score!
So many great artists in the history of the medium, but few are true Masters. Congrats on adding not only a wonderful artistic example, but one that has such deep personal meaning.
Another proof of the power of this medium! Thanks for sharing the story... and the art... well... BWS!!!
Incredible work by BWS and a phenomenal story to go with it. This piece couldn't be in a better collection.
An absolute beast of a cover. Huge congrats!!
congrats again on this historic edition bud! today (or that day) was indeed a good day (ice cube starts playing in my head immediately anytime that phrase is used lol)
Wow! Fabulous cover to Barry Windsor-Smith's Archer & Armstrong! A splendid example of the incredible linework BWS is famous for! BWS had a lot of fun with this book, it's too bad it never quite caught on. But it was great while it lasted. I loved BWS's work on the title and enjoyed reading it. I'm glad you enjoyed it as well. Very cool that you've picked up this stunning cover art to the very first issue! Congrats!
A&A! My favourite Valiant title! Not only did it have that great, tight storytelling that was a hallmark of Valiant, not only did it have amazing art by BWS, it was just plain, laugh out loud funny. I always had a smile on my face every time I put down an issue. Congrats on owning such a great piece of Valiant history!
