Description
I really enjoyed when Marvel launched the Ultimates series back in 2002. Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch did a great job then, and I really liked Bryan's rendering of Cap. In 2023, Bryan did this variant cover of Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, in the style of his Ultimates work. Bryan's art is oversized (apologize for the bad image, but I did a photo instead of a scan), and I love how Cap takes almost the entire page, while leaving plenty of room for a lot of Hydra baddies. I spoke with Bryan about the cover back when it first came out, but never got myself to pull the trigger. But last month, Bill Cox told me he had some pieces he was going to sell on Bryan's behalf, and this was one of them, so I had to jump at the opportunity! Another great Cap cover in the collection!

Reminscent of the Steranko approach to creating a DPS to let the action speak for itself and let you fill in the story.

I get why Cap has a bulleye-like design on his shield.  It's so bad guys get confused and only shoot there!
