Description

The second page from an unpublished story illustrated by Nestor Redondo. My friend David Roach has another page from the story and has collected scans of four additional pages, including the last. The final page reveals that the story is twelve pages long and was intended for DC's House of Secrets. The fraudulent rainmaker learns from a family of farmers that human sacrifice is the traditional way to make it rain and the father demonstrates with an axe to the drugged rainmaker's head. The Comics Code may have had issues with that.

Just beautiful how Nestor Redondo can bring these environments to life. That first panel is a great example of the level of illustration this story would have as it takes shape.
