DescriptionThe "Carbon Freeze" Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary cover.Han becomes the test case to see if Darth Vader can trap Luke in Carbonite as a prize to the Emperor. Han is "perfectly" preserved as shown laid out on the floor encased in a frozen state. This is such a memorable point that sets up the beginning of Return of the Jedi! I absolutely loved the work on these covers as they came out in 2021-22. Thank you to Chris and Karl for being so easy and great to work with! Social/Sharing |

I liked that slam as the Han slab crashed down on the industrial grating right before this scene when Lando reads the vital signs. Ugnaught workers kept the inner workings of Cloud City running and should get more screen time in the comics.
