DescriptionOriginal fanzine art by Robert E. Briney dated 1954 and labeled "The Outcast" from an unknown publication. Still researching it!Created with homemade scratchboard of india ink on cardboard. Briney worked in the Science Fiction fanzine world from the 50's through the 2000's doing some artwork in the early years but more with the writing of non-fiction/essays and involved in fanzine publications and the small press Advent:Publishers. Impressive with the consistent tight marks on the beard. Well controlled density to let the foreground elements have more brightness.
