Description

Cass Pollack argues with his wife just before she and their child are murdered by some dirty police detectives. It's violent modern noir in modern LA with some vampirism thrown in. It's hard to find a "good guy" in most of Chaykin's stories. This one is no exception.

Congrats! One of the "safe for work" pages from this series! You could argue that the impact of the NSFW pages is heightened because of great pages like this that establish the mood and character dynamics of the story.

It's got that dingy layer of dark noir with the Chaykin line that give weight of dread to every panel. The desperation and the evil smile are very compelling.
