Description

This commission� Actually, it�s two commissions, but that will become clear in a moment. Back on November 10 of 2017 I contacted Caio Marcus for a pencil commission. He accepted, and on the 20th, I received an email from Caio with these two concepts sketched out, asking me which I might prefer. A difficult decision, and unfair, having to choose just one! After a few exchanges, we decided on version �B�. On December 26th I received the best Boxing Day gift ever - when the scan of the completed pencil art dropped into my inbox! Caio assured me Jade would be on her way at the start of the New Year.

So I waited. And waited. And waited. And... nothing! We each tried to follow up on the matter, without success. What happened is what every collector dreads - Jade had gone missing in transit!

It took me until December 2023 to realise that I might still have a piece of physical art if I could find an inker willing to work over a blue line of the digital image, as it was fortunate that Caio had made a very high resolution scan. After making a few inquiries, Jay Leisten agreed, and produced this gorgeous piece of art.

Leisten inks sharpens everything up and solidifies Jade amongst the heavenly bodies! The crosshatches and the outlines are sorted out nicely bringing shape and mass into motion.
