While I have to agree with the many claiming the colour version is fabulous, there's something compelling about Barry's pencils that I have to call that version as my favourite.
I hate this! I hate that this painting is in your collection and not mine!
An amazing protrait of Herr von Hammer! The texture of the piece brings an image of a grainy old daguerreotype to mind.
So very lovely! (Gonna leave now - I always get weepy at weddings...)
A fine page. June and Roy bring the story to life with their exemplary line work. Evokes fond memories of a delightful series. Very appropriate for older kids as well!
Wow! An absolute eye-popping cover. Excellent foreshorting and beautiful lines from Anthony. But I fear for our hero... I mwan, the odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field...
For a moment, I thought this was a drawing of Dejah Thoris. Then I realised she was over dressed!
She seems like such a nice girl. Love the colour choices. Especially the back ground's moonlit sky that allows the figure to pop off the page.
Too funny! Well, there's always Springfield, but you could also travel the vast reaches of outer space, and join the colony of heads in the Nexus Universe!
Plus, for all the trivia buffs out there, Johnny makes the first ever reference to the "Parliament of Trees."
I quite agree. Charles liked how it turned out as well, as he initialed it. (lower right, near the tentacle) Thanks for stopping by.
When reading the newspaper meant going to the comics page first!
Nausicaa remains my favourite Miyazaki film. And this wonderful illustration deftly captures the spirit of it - It has that wondrous, storybook feel to it!
A wonderfully graceful Hawkgirl. Ed must have captured this pose when she was in a particularly good mood - as her morningstar is nowhere in sight! Ed drew a very nice one for me in inkwash back in 2006 which I like very much. But I'm almost jealous!
Charming work. The "Major Award" has seen better days, though...
So glad you liked this. The email I used was penciler@deanjuliette.com. Dean also has a page here at ComicArtFans.
Absolutely gorgeous piece. Stunning!
Salut, jeune homme.
Ah, mais ce qu’il était cachotier, ce petit Jean-Paul. ;)
So cool! Excellent 'camera' placement and dramatic lighting make this page a really exciting dynamic sequence.
I concur. A great character. Underused and underappreciated, and in need of a good comeback.
Gorgeous work by Brian. Definitely an expression of intent. Of menace. Reminds me of Amber Midthunder form the movie "Prey".
Hi Patrick. Hawkgirl is one of my top two favourite characters. (Jade's the other, in case you missed it.) I'm glad you liked what you saw, and thanks for stopping by.
Words fail me... Wonderful beyond belief...
Absolutely awe-inspiring! Well done, Michael. (What’s with all the feathers floating around? Did she just finish a round of Whack-A-Pigeon?)
Ver nice . Truly excellent watercolour work from German Perlta. I think I'll miss this look for Ms Drew even if it is her original costume they're giving her back.
I was always fond of the dynamic as well. the charcter arcs meshed well, and there was a mutual respect that was gradually built between Tim and Stephanie. They were so cute together. And nothing says teen romance as being out on the town whilst pummelling villians!
Wow! An amazing rendering of the young Marvel. So bold in its almost monochromatic execution, with only a splash of colour to set off the lips.Almost like cutting silhouettes from origami paper.
Very nice. Another fine drawing from Michael. The way he drew the face reminds me of Anya Taylor-Joy.
Oh, this is wonderful! I love the composition and contrasting elements of this piece, from the toadstool, to Alice's dress, to the sawtooth grin of that disembodied cat. Wonderfully evocative. Nicely done!
What a fun picture! Gamora has the best haul, with her Beta Ray Bill plushie. And Jade should be careful - that's not relly a bag she's carrying. It's actually Plastic Man, spying on the girls!
Hmm, Issue 50 ships this week, and this cover wasn't amongst the other variants?
Such a piece of art this is. Gwendolyn has never been lovelier!
An excellent find. I love that gnarly old tree in the background. And it's so great for Val to have her name emblazoned on a woodland trail; better than having a street named for you any day!
Fabulous cover. Congrats on your acquisition.
I really love this painting, especially as you've captured a distictive personality for each of the girls. Well done!
Are they really an item? The way his hands are phasing throughher, she could slip away whenever she chooses. Beautiful drawing. And this is a prelim??? Looks finished to me. Absolutely!
And with a creative team that would help her shine. Someone like Nicola Scott on the art, but she's doing excellent work on Wonder Woman. and her backstory would likely be reworked, as the previously mentioned Mr Scott is nowhere to be seen.
