Description
Issue #134 can be summarized in three words: parenting, politics, and preparation. While it isn't the most action-packed issue, there are still so many vital moments that transpire within these pages. For the first time, we can see a glimpse of compassion sneak through Thragg's tyrannical disposition. Alan confronts Mark about his overwhelming guilt surrounding Oliver's death, and Nolan finally joins the fold in the war to end all wars. This is also 1 of 15 issues that feature the character Space Racer!

Super glad I picked up this page from FCA back in the day, this was one of those pages that immediately jumped out at me. While Thragg is intended to be the main villain of the series, you can't help but admire the badassery. Just look at that cape! Ryan did a phenomenal job making Thragg look like a BAMF all the way to the end. I particularly like the use of the cave's mouth to frame Thragg in his descent; while it may not have been intentional, I think the cave 'opening up' in the direction Thragg is landing is representative of the emotional context in the scene overall. Great stuff.
