Yup, the start to the crazy Carnage crossover, and the image that pops to mind first! Love the longer more exaggerated limbs, and Mayer killed those inks. Congrats, Andrew!

Thank you! Mayer is a fantastic inker. He really understands Stegman and does such a great job of not losing any of what's there without adding anything that's not intended.

Stunning cover to Absolute Carnage #1 by Ryan Stegman and J.P. Mayer. Has any villain ever looked more evil or more dangerous than Carnage does right here? I think not. Ryan Stegman just killed it on this cover, drawing a Carnage who seems to be designed to strike fear into the bravest of the brave. He sits on a series of headstones reading, Brock, Parker, Logan and others, suggesting that he has killed or will kill everyone who stands in his way. In the grass surrounding the headstones, skulls peek out of the ground, worms crawling in and around them. Stegman's tight pencils are brought to life (Or is it death?) by the esteemed JP Mayer, whose tight inks and heavy use of black, pluses the work of every artist he's ever worked with. His inking here is superb, making the whole scene more realistic and therefore, more frightening, than ever. This is just a fantastic pick-up, congrats!
