Harry Barton (1908-2001): Paperback Novel Cover Original Art (c. 1970s). A Gothic romance paperback cover painting by Dell and Ace Books cover illustrator, Harry Barton. Another beauty from the endearing genre called "Women Running From Houses." Gouache on heavy board with an edge-to-edge image area of 20" x 30". Signed by Barton.

Very cool, I like it. It took me a while to notice the light in the window behind her. I'll have to try to recreate this scene with my redheaded wife someday. "What's my motivation?"

Very haunting with the soft focus background castle. This is a standout in the trope with red hair of the lady against the full green background.
