DescriptionA rarity of a rarity of a rarity of a rarity. An Arthur Adams published interior page, from the Modern era, from a DC comic, from the Legion.When I saw it I said to Arthur I wasn't aware that he did any issues of Legion and he told me that was the only one. My friend Margaret, who is a Legion super-fan, later told me not only was it the only issue of Legion of Super Heroes Arthur ever did, it was the only page he's done, full stop. This was a 'jam' issue that featured a different exceptional artist on each page of the story. Beyond its rarity it's a really gorgeous piece of work, as you'd expect from anything Arthur creates. An awesome dynamic 2/3rd splash of Ultra Boy's Father tossing him in chains, and then three panels each as gorgeous as the last. I am honored, grateful, and feeling very lucky, to have had the opportunity to purchase this wonderful page from my most favorite comic artist of all time. Social/Sharing |

So good even a non panel page collector stands up and salutes. First and Only AA Legion page?? Watch out! 1st collectors might be hiring ninja to go to your house.

Every panel has enough effort to be it's own great Arthur Adams piece! The sale price of this probably many multiples the page rate he got from DC.

How have I not commented on this before??? I must have been so overcome by its beauty when I first saw it that I just didn't know what to do with myself. It really is a shame AA hasn't had a nice long run on a Legion title, because he just gets everything right, here. Congrats on a very special, very fitting, and very beautiful page!

Great find! I admit I have some mixed feelings about this iteration of the Legion, but I really enjoyed seeing the guest artists on this issue. Adams did a great job as usual!
