Description
High on my list for Paris Fan Festival 2024 was Marcio Takara. He's currently acing issue after issue on "Poison Ivy". When DC Comics extends your miniseries to an ongoing, you know you're doing something right in this comics' climate.

In the French speaking groups, there was a bit of controversy for his pre-convention list (that was announced through Felix, but was opened up globally and filled up in seconds). In the end, it all worked out as extra spots were opened for locals.

Still, the pricing was too rich for my blood for a 6x9. I was ready to skip on him, after having my books signed, but we got talking. Marcio mentioned he could do something (even) smaller, for a considerably lower amount. It'd be a 4x6. I gave him a few character options, but he chose Poison Ivy.

I definitely won't complain considering the amazing result: a confident & smug bust of one of the best Batman villains.

PS. There were a few of his pre-show 6x9's at the table (the best of which was a GORGEOUS Savage Land Rogue), which actually almost got doused by beer. You'd think the organisation wouldn't be opening beers next to commissions.

Very nice pick up!  The extra flora growth intrudes the look of perfection to give Ivy a more interesting and lively look than something more calculated in design.

Absolutely, Marcus. It's hard to imagine Ivy now, without the flora growth over her left eye, after Wilson/Takara's Poison Ivy run.
