DescriptionWhen Batman, Green Arrow and the Question had a crossover of sorts in their respective annuals. That crossover led me to start buying the Question regular series and I was hooked. It was incredibly dark and gritty filled with stories of corruption and urban blight. The Question is portrayed as a street level crime-fighting martial artist and it's great. The interior art was by Denys Cowan and Rick Magyar and they did not disappoint. Cowan's style was a perfect fit for the street level hero. Rick Magyar's inks complimented Denys' pencils nicely. Rick Magyar, unsung inker of the 80's & 90's. He had some great runs as an inker for Dc Comics. He was Vigilante (good book), the Question (another good book) plus a host of other DC Comics. Solid inks, great use of blacks on a page. One of the most underappreciated inkers for sure. A cool color piece of the Question by Rick Magyar. I bought this on eBay years ago. I've never met Magyar and I've always wanted a commission from him so this fit the bill. I've never seen another piece like this one from Magyar. The Question by Rick Magyar 9X12 on black paper. Magyar holds all the answers to The Question! The dense colorwork of the pencils to cover up the black base medium may even be harder than applying paints as the level of pressure requires a more steady and controlled hand.

Wow! Not only vintage, but a fully mixed media piece to boot! This is a great one, I can't believe you never posted it before today.

Yup those different hues of blue really pop against the dark backgrop and swirling white mist! Congrats!
