DescriptionNexus was a guilty pleasure. I still have a copy of Issue #3 with the flexi disc record inside!I thought the story and character were unique and loved the way the story unfolded a little at a time. It was gusty move for an independent comic, but they quickly found a strong fan following. I've gone for some other pages and missed out, but I was thrilled to pick up this page with Horatio (Nexus) in flight. Social/Sharing |

Nexus was well known as a very high quality 80's indie. It had the style and story that was more sophisticated than anything from the big two. Kids wanted to feel more adult by venturing to this critically acclaimed series that was more well designed than the average comic. The staircase feel of the center tier progression is very unique!

If you flip through the entire series, it'll surprise you just how few pages there are that are this good. If this is as far as your NEXUS collecting goes, then you picked especially well!

Great page from an important storyline - for a while it looked like Baron's prediction of the Sov Empire continuing to be an evil empire would not age well but Russia has rallied to prove him right!

Very cool Nexus page. While I never got deeply into Nexus myself, I could see that it was a more sophisticated comic than the ones I was used to reading. But for me, the storyline took too long to develop, and I found myself returning to books with more action and bigger guns. Still, I can see the attraction better now. Certainly the art is beautifully done. This page is a gorgeous example of the Nexus aesthetic. I can see I might have missed something that would have grown on me.
