Cable by Kevin Catalan

I caught wind of Kevin's work and decided to jump on his commission list. I saw he did 'throne' figures quite well and wanted a depiction of Cable, tired and satisfied, after battle but watching over his daughter Hope. I just so happened to buy my 9 year old daughter a Pug around the time I commissioned this, so I requested Hope to be holding a pug. It's a bit silly, but I can look at this piece and immediately know which moment in time it was captured in. Almost like looking at a family photo, but in the form of a comic book art commission. Cable is me, in my armchair, after a long day at work, while my daughter plays with her dog. How Kevin translated that into an epic art piece is a testament to his talent.
