DescriptionAll pieces in my gallery are for sale or trade.This cover from the first year of Conner Hawke's run as lead in Green Arrow is indicative of what Damaggio and Campanella brought to the series. Somehow they were as perfect for Connor as Aparo was for Ollie. As I understand it, Damaggio left comics when he left Green Arrow. His art is tough to find. I spent a few years looking for a good example. Won this cover on HA and then promptly bought another piece that also filled a gap in my collection. Only selling this to backfill from that second purchase. This quiet page comes from a fairly quiet issue that was literally the calm before the storm in the first arc of this series that took up semi-permanent residency in my head for a larger than chunk of the 80s than it should have. Willingham obviously knew early on that he had an arc in mind for Tommy. These early issues showed him to be an early version of the prodigy characters that have become much more common in comics since. The meeting that followed was a long game that Bill paid off a few years later (with mixed results). The page is 11x17 and is in great shape. Shipping is paid by the buyer. Ship U.S. preferred but will make exceptions. Also prefer USPS but happy to ship through a different carrier if buyer asks. Stunning piece! I am a huge Damaggio fan. I love this issue and have read it many times.
