DescriptionJohn Buscema's powerful and expressive penciling, combined with Tom Palmer's detailed and heavy inking, created a visually stunning and impactful style. This synergy is particularly evident in their portrayal of Kang, a complex and formidable villain in the Marvel Universe. Their version of Kang is probably my favorite. I'm sure this particular layout is a homage of many others prior. The Thing FF splash floating in space reminds me of that a decade earlier.Social/Sharing |

The Kang variant we know and love! Caught in a blender of time and space by the Buscema and Palmer duo!

Great contrast between the bold lines of Kang and the exquisite detail of the vortex background.

How cool to see you add this one to your collection, Alex. I've never been a huge fan of the character, but I found this to be one of the most attractive pieces in the auction it came from! Kudos, great piece!

Big John's last hurrah on the Avengers. His pencil art is between breakdowns and finished pencils at this point in his tremendous career. And Tom Palmer had the inking talent in spades to bring this Avengers run to its still remembered spectacular conclusion. A great page to have in any original art collection. Congrats !!

What a great image of Kang!! I like how it looks like he is trying to grab onto the bottom line of the panel. The way he breaks panel with that hand and his foot is very cool.
