It's like America decided it was time for a reckoning of the Vietnam war in the mid 80's with Platoon, Born of the Fourth of July, Good Morning Vietnam, Full Metal Jacket, etc. In comics, it was The 'Nam that made headlines taking us on a tour of duty as if we were imbedded into a unit. All the more authentic from those who served writing it from experience or from stories they heard.

Vansant and Isherwood did a great job keeping the Goldenesque cartoony look after Golden left the book. Nice page!
