DescriptionThis was the biggest pick up at Heroes, but it was set up beforehand and just picked up there, so technically not part of the spending frenzy that goes with a con such as this one lol. I have been trying to find and acquire a Marvel Hostess ad for over 20 years and finally managed to land one! Recently many Harvey Comics ones and a couple DC have come to Heritage in the past few years but when you see a Marvel ad sell, it is rare and it isn't cheap. So I am so glad that the stars aligned I was able to finally land one after all these years as this has been high on my bucket list for decades.Social/Sharing |

Marvel ones are defintiely tougher! Maybe because Marvel employed their best artists to the ads. Gil Kane was a hot artist and did stints on DD, so this was a natural for his acrobatic figure art.

I loved seeing those Hostess ads in Marvel Comics in the late '70s. I hope to own one someday.
