Description

A pickup from Mark Buckingham at Heroes Con 2024. I went to his table for a Fables page. It was always one of my favorite series and I didn't have on in the PC yet. When skimming his binders I came across this beauty.

I love unusual layouts. They stand out so much more than the traditional left to right top to bottem latyous. If the page doesn't pop at 1st sight then I'll most likely pass on it. This page popped.

Once the layout got my attention, I realized it was from The Books of Magic, and bonus, Tim was present in every unconventional panel in one way or another. This was another of my favorite 90's titles (I still think J.K. borrowed from this series a little).

I pulled the page from his binder and started my little pile of Buckingham.

It's a great layout by Buckingham who does this like a stack of tall tarot cards falling just as Tim is falling.

there has to be magic involved if a kid falling like this doesn't break at least one damn bone, maybe he did though, never read it!
