DescriptionHere is an extraordinary 11” x 14” commission by Kyle Roberts of the Master of Spiders that first appeared in 1985’s Fighting Fantasy gamebook, Scorpion Swamp written by Steve Jackson and illustrated by Duncan Smith. This one is truly above and beyond what I expected. A great piece by a great artist!Social/Sharing |

Incredibly detailed commission by Kyle Roberts of the Master of Spiders. What a spooky image of the Master, dressed in a long robe with a cowl sitting seemingly unconcerned by the enormous spider hanging upside down just behind him. The giant spider's webbing connects it to the very detailed vegetation that climbs up both sides of the panel and joins at the top. The whole image gives me the creeps, if I'm perfectly honest. But Kyle has done a very detailed job of drawing and inking a memorable, if somewhat uncomfortable, work of art. Let's just say my wife wouldn't let me hang it up in the house, that's for sure.

I was definitely surprised by how far this commission exceeded my expectations. Kyle definitely earned me as returning customer!
