DescriptionOur heroes are deep in the secret tunnels beneath Hitler's bunker, looking for a connection to the nineteenth century Austrian, Prince Rudolf... “One more effort... it's about to give way.” “Another dead-end room... or so it seems.” “This one might actually be the one.” “And a small, suspicious-looking trunk, in plain sight on a table, untouched for eighty years and more. Renate, the honor is yours.” “Thank you.” “More documents... and photographs.” “Yeah, and look here. This photo was taken at Mayerling. The church isn't there yet, so it dates back to before Rudolf's suicide.” “And these people?” “From their clothing, they look like domestic servants.” “Hmmm... yes, that could be it.” “There's also an enlargement... The image is grainy, but it could be this woman.” “It looks like her, in fact.” “There's also a letter here.” Although the photo in the upper left panel was digitally duplicated twice later in the page, Sforza still penciled in the later frames rather than just leave them blank. I was waiting for the door to close shut behind them! The inks make spaces closer and tighter to induce claustrophobia.
