A wonderful piece of art that captures the spirit of the show and its beloved (and zany) characters. Roby knew what he was doing with these lifelike images... instantly takes me back to childhood memories. Great one!
Pure drawn nostolgia!
The clear likenesses are there, and SO cool to see in grey graphite goodness. Oh yeah, that compositon, too! Congrats, man!
Roby captures the show and era of pop culture in hyper realistic and stylized graphite perfection!
Superb likenesses!
Do you remember
The Adam West night of September?
Love was changin' the mind of the Joker
While Robin sports pouch today
Our arts were ringin'
In Roby art our souls were singin'
Cats they danced in the lines, with Caesar
How Oswald stole the night away, oh, yeah
Hey, hey, hey
Ba-dee-ya, say, do Meriwether?
Ba-dee-ya, pencilin' in September
Ba-dee-ya, Amor that's a Roby day
Ba-du-da, ba-du-da, ba-du-da, ba-du
Ba-du-da, ba-du, ba-du-da, ba-du
Ba-du-da, ba-du, ba-du-da
one of Roby's best pieces easy! I love the Penguin and Robin Crotch Goblining. Banger!
Holy graphite Batman!
Super fun image and such nice handling! Makes me want to watch an episode right now
This is really terrific. They may be the two smallest characters on the piece, but Penguin and Robin are my favorite here. That Burgess Meredith face is just perfect.
A great job with the likenesses and the look of the graphite texture is fab as well!
Astonishingly cool illustration by Roby Amor! Rovy's ablity to capture likenesses is nothing short of amazing to me. My jaw hit the floor when I saw this drawing of Adam West as Batman, Julie Newmar as Catwoman and Cesar Romero as Joker! It's perfect. Not only in the way Roby captures their likenesses, but also in the way he balances the relative sizes of the different portraits to achieve the best balance. I've alway admired how movie poster artists did this, and Roby has the same skill. I am awestruck!
