Kazuya Katagiri

The former boyfriend of Kei Yuki and assistant to her father Shuiichiro Yuki, Kazuya is the worst kind of backstabber. Not only is he responsible for Shuiichiro's death (by purposely sabotaging his experiments,) he also is selling information on Harlock and his crew to Commander Kiruta, and working with the Mazone to pry the secrets of the Arcadia from Kei. When the truth finally is revealed, she plays "A Song of Farewell" for him on her mother's shamisen before blowing a gaping hole in his chest.

Kazuya Katagiri

Ex fidanzato di Kei Yuki e assistente di suo padre Shuiichiro Yuki, Kazuya è il peggior tipo di traditore. Non solo è responsabile della morte di Shuiichiro (sabotando di proposito i suoi esperimenti), ma vende anche informazioni su Harlock e il suo equipaggio al comandante Kiruta e lavora con i Mazone per carpire a Kei i segreti dell'Arcadia. Kei Yuki

At only sixteen years of age, Kei is nevertheless ranked as one of the Arcadia's staff officers. After assaulting a military officer, she was rescued by Harlock when he raided the ship transporting her back to earth (and prison.) Her own family dead, Kei chooses to remain on the Arcadia and becomes her navigator and science officer. The youngest crew member next to the fourteen-year-old Tadashi Daiba, Kei makes it her business to watch over the hotheaded newcomer and try to keep him out of trouble, saving his life on numerous occasions. While far more levelheaded than he, she's not one to be trifled with, and is a crack shot in a gunfight, as well as a hell of a shamisen player.

Kei also appeared in both 999 films (on the green Arcadia now,) as well the Endless Road SSX series. In SSX, Kei becomes one of Harlock's crew after her father, a newspaper publisher specializing in anti-Illumidas propaganda, sacrifices himself to protect the Arcadia. She becomes a big sister to the young Revi Bentselle, and risks her life to obtain medicine to diagnose Tochiro's worsening medical condition. Within her subconcious, Kei holds the key to the Treasure Island of space, which may contain the secret to earth's salvation.

In the Endless Odyssey series, Kei has moved up the ladder to captain of her own ship and crew, but she is captured early on and used as bait, along with the Arcadia's other alumni, to draw Harlock into a trap. It naturally fails, and Kei afterwards rejoins the crew of the Arcadia.

An early Captain Harlock TV series book, written in english and obviously published before the show had been made, states that Kei has a good understanding of biology, and makes the badly-translated and hilarious assertion that "she helps Harlock biologically." However, she doesn't, either way you interpret it.

Kei Yuki

A soli sedici anni, Kei è comunque annoverata tra gli ufficiali dell'Arcadia. Dopo aver aggredito un ufficiale militare, è stata salvata da Harlock quando questi ha fatto irruzione sulla nave che la trasportava sulla Terra (e in prigione). La sua stessa famiglia è morta, Kei sceglie di rimanere sull'Arcadia e ne diventa navigatore e ufficiale scientifico. Membro più giovane dell'equipaggio accanto al quattordicenne Tadashi Daiba, Kei si preoccupa di sorvegliare il nuovo arrivato e di tenerlo lontano dai guai, salvandogli la vita in numerose occasioni. Pur essendo molto più equilibrata di lui, non è una con cui si possa scherzare, ed è una tiratrice provetta in uno scontro a fuoco, oltre che un'ottima suonatrice di shamisen.

Kei è apparsa anche in entrambi i film 999 (ora sull'Arcadia verde) e nella serie Endless Road SSX. In SSX, Kei entra a far parte dell'equipaggio di Harlock dopo che suo padre, un editore di giornali specializzato in propaganda anti-Illumidas, si sacrifica per proteggere l'Arcadia. Diventa una sorella maggiore per la giovane Revi Bentselle e rischia la vita per ottenere la medicina per diagnosticare il peggioramento delle condizioni di salute di Tochiro. Nel suo subconscio, Kei possiede la chiave dell'Isola del Tesoro dello spazio, che potrebbe contenere il segreto della salvezza della Terra.
