Description

Once upon a time DC published comics without Batman. They were not even costumed superheroes! Arak is more representative of pre-Star Wars pulp culture of the 1970s, a bare-chested warrior, roaming Europe in the early Dark Ages, sword in hand. On this page, the Red Sonja-esque "Iron Maiden" Valda and Malagigi the wizard discuss the recent rescue of Arak from imprisonment and torment. The bottom panels have an unusual double border.

The double borders are meant to be guilded to emphaisze the importance of the lesson within. All that is missing is caligraphy lettering.

Nice page with both Arak and Valda on it!
