DescriptionIt was bad enough for Xenia to learn that she was a clone, and then to watch all the other clones be massacred by their robotic caretakers. But the bad news isn't even over, as we learn from Nathan's voice-over: “I wish I could say I did something good by saving Xenia from a life of lies. But the truth is: that damn machine was right when it told me I couldn't save anyone. After she left the Habitat, the girl began to show symptoms of a strange illness. Something the doctors identified as a degenerative cellular syndrome. “Xenia, like her sisters, had been a short term project. The intensive exploitation of her mind would not have allowed her to survive for long anyway. Her freedom thus lasted only a few months, offering me just enough time to show her the beauty that exists on Earth and beyond. And now that her time is running out, there's only one last thing I can do for her.” Nathan meets a woman outside Xenia’s hospital: “I was afraid you wouldn't come.” “It wasn't easy, Agent Never. I'm still not sure I'll find the courage.” “You can do this. I'll be by your side. Be honest, do you think this is the best thing to do?” “No. But I felt it had to be done.” Late in production, a page was added between 90 and 91. The bottom tier on page 90 was replaced. The new page 90.5 had two new top tiers and the original bottom tier of page 90 seen here. Social/Sharing |

Wow - another parallel to Bladerunner!
You may have noticed that Nathan's flying car has fold-up wheels like Deckard's car as well. I suppose the same was true of the Delorean at the end of Back to the Future. Did that happen in a Bond movie too?
