Great action page--love Kirby's cinematography in his Rawhide Kid work, this is an excellent example. Congrats!
Guy in panel 4 is not hiding. He's just checking for oil leaks. 19th century chuck wagons were notorious for them.
Hah! Leaky clean.
Great Kirby shoot-em up action! Love the dialogue as well!
Fast paced action! You can see that Kirby was influenced by what he saw on the big screen with how cinematic this looks!
That first 3 panel action is so cool! Love the story telling on this page. Very cool acquisition Mark! Hope to see you at the upcoming show!
This is such an amazing piece. And I love Westerns as well. Many congrats, Mark!
Wow! Incredible action scene from Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers! It looks like something out of a John Ford western movie. Fantastic layout by Kirby and sharp, crisp inks by Ayers. I can almost hear the soundtrack as I study the art. Great pick up, congrats!
Unbelievable storytelling from Kirby, and so cinematic in those 'wide screen' first three tiers. The choreography is superb. And then to spin the Kid around so that we have the closing panel, his face barely fitting in the frame, is superb. Great, great page.
