Shown here is a unique original Watercolor painting by John M Burns. After leaving Modesty Blaise, Burns moved on to illustrate TV tie-in strips for now-defunct title Look-in, always scripted by Angus P. Allan.

This is the first page from Look-In 43 from 1977 featuring the Bionic Woman. The Bionic Woman originally appeared on US TV between 1976 and 1978 - a spin-off from The Six Million Dollar Man - with Lindsay Wagner starring as Jamie Sommers. This page begins with Jamie in a beauty contest competing to be Miss Liberty Bell 1977. As you can see, Jamie is shown here in the bathing suit competition with many full-body and portrait shots.

This page was produced using watercolor over graphite and has an image area of 13.5" x 18" on a larger 15 x 22" piece of 4-ply art board. The art is not signed but there is ample evidence that the art is by Burns.

I bought this many years ago and had no idea how to price it. The Book Palace in England has a page from this story listed for £300.00 which is about $400US. I think this is a stronger page, but I will price this for their price.
