DescriptionAfter seeing my pal Eranga post banger after banger by Josh, I figured it was time to add my own.So I reached out and gave Josh my usual list of characters. We decided to keep his choice a secret until the piece was finished. A couple months later I received this image by email. Josh couldn't decide so he decided to do a mash-up. WOW! This piece is incredible. The variety of textures and tones is exquisite, and the amount of Sith attitude that he's able to convey while just showing us Vader from behind is astonishing. Anakin may not be a master, but he's aiming to give Galan a run for his money. You can find Josh on Instagram and get your own killer commission. Highly recommended. Social/Sharing |

very cool piece and a really interesting approach to the piece perspective wise...in terms of power scaling between fictional universes there's no contest though, even as a huge Star Wars fan - Galactus could flick Vader away like a fly, but he sure as hell looks good staring him down, even from the back!

Crazy cool linework and match up. Alvarado is such a talent and I was lucky enough to get him to do a piece for the last JTR music-comic.

Suh-weet, indeed. Love how Vader's mostly blacked in and Galactus is rendered in a ton of vertical hatch-y lines...exquisite stuff. Congrats, man!

Wow! What a powerful commission! Anakin Skywalker facing Galactus! What would those two say to one anohter if they ever did face one another? Would Anakin demand that Galactus devour Tatooie next? Would Galctus turn Anakin into his new herald? Gorgeous drawing by Joshua Alvarado. I love the textures he creates with pencil and brush. The whole commission is so fresh and unique that I'm surprised no one thought of it before! Phenomenal piece, congrats!
