DescriptionThis cover and I have some history. I kept almost buying this Jim Lee cover from Albert years ago, as it sat on the site for years unsold. I went back to the site a few times and even held it in my hand at SDCC one year. But I put it back to buy some other pieces and intending to get it after the show, but it sold there. It was only $1k for a Jim Lee cover and I stupidly kept passing, thinking it would always be there. I finally bought it last week for many times that amount, but I wasn't going to lose out on it again lol. So moral of the story is if you really want it, lock it down or someone else will. I'm just glad it ended up here eventually. :)As for the piece itself, I love Jim's Deathblow/Sin City style of art and this is one of the few times I have seen him do it outside of Deathblow. So while I know nothing about Skye Runner, this cover always spoke to me and I had to have it. Special thanks to the good Doctor, Dr. Balls, for the sale! Social/Sharing |
