Description

In the penultimate addition to the Class of 2025 X-Men cover recreations, Anderson Carman provides his take on Uncanny X-Men #220.

Anderson is a great young artist and super nice person who's continuing to hone & expand his craft. He'll be a mainstay in my various sketchbooks going forward.

Coming out of Dragon Con 2023, we began discussing him doing a cover recreation, where he settled on UXM #220 after seeing his options. With Anderson being a notable colorist, I had to add the color option.

As usual, he delivered a great piece, adding his own personal touches & style to an underrated cover featuring Forge in a gloomy state as Storm arrives to demand he get her powers back, a precursor to the Fall of the Mutants storyline.

In addition to his excellent job rendering the art, he took a modern approach to the coloring, making it pop, while keeping it dark & foreboding.

Extremely pleased with how this turned out and another example of why Anderson cemented himself as an artist I'll keep going back to for commissions & convention sketches. I can't recommend him enough and suggest you look into working with him at the next convention you're both attending.

I also have some of Andersons art in my collection and everything youve said about him is spot on. Great artist and a very kind person. Congrats on the cover recreation!

The neon like colors are awesome and unexpected in contrast to the hard edged solid inking! A high class treatment by Anderson Carman over the Silvestri cover done in tribute.
