Description

Owning a SIKTC piece has been on my list for a while now, but I believe that Werther Dell'edera is holding onto the majority of the art still. So then you're relegated to variant covers and commissions. I first saw this cover for sale at the now defunct Cadence Comic Art and came real close a couple times to buying it. Kind of glad I didn't after how things went down there. Then there were some David Mack covers that came up at Heritage but I really wanted that Birds of Prey poster painting more. So I ended up back burnering getting anything for a while.

I forgot how I found out that Jenny Frison had made her own website and was doing art sales. Comicartracker maybe? Once again this cover was available but I wasn't sure about pulling the trigger until I got a copy of the 1 in 50 variant cover that looks pretty close to the original. I could have just been content with having a disturbing image of the House of Cutter woman on a comic but when Jenny had a Black Friday sale, I decided that I'd regret it if I didn't get this piece. Of course I didn't read the description or I would have known that it also comes with the prelim for an added bonus.

There's just something creepy about adult women having full conversations with creepy looking dolls!

For this series, Frisson made her mark with covers that have very smooth presentation for an image that's disturbing and will linger in your soul for longer than you'd think.
